Takeda needed a dedicated digital resource to raise awareness about Dengue Fever among UK and Irish travelers. The challenge was to present serious medical and risk-assessment information in a way that was accessible, non-alarmist, and actionable for holidaymakers planning trips to high-risk regions. The goal was to empower users with knowledge rather than discourage travel.
The Solution
I led the design of a user-centric website that functions as a comprehensive travel health companion. By prioritising clear information architecture and interactive elements, we transformed complex health data into an engaging digital experience.
Key Design Features:
Interactive Risk Map: Designed a “Know Before You Go” tool allowing users to search by country or explore global regions to assess Dengue risk levels immediately.
Gamified Education: Integrated an interactive “True or False” quiz module to test user knowledge on transmission and symptoms, increasing engagement and information retention.
Digestible Content Layouts: Utilised clean, card-based UI patterns for “Top Travel Tips” and prevention guides (e.g., clothing advice, repellent usage), ensuring users can scan for vital information quickly.
Responsive Prototyping: Delivered high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to ensure a seamless experience across devices, critical for travellers accessing the site on the go.

The Outcome
The final design, “Explore Uninterrupted,” successfully bridges the gap between pharmaceutical expertise and public utility. It serves as a trusted, easy-to-navigate hub that equips travellers with the necessary precautions to enjoy their adventures safely.
